Fell & Sons Packaging

A roaster's range on one kraft bag: the origin is handwritten, everything else is fixed.

A twelve-origin range on a small roaster's budget rules out twelve printed bags. We designed one: heavy kraft, a fixed typographic frame, and a large blank field where the roaster writes the origin, lot, and roast date by hand with a paint marker.

The handwriting is the system. It says small, fresh, this week louder than any printed claim could, and it makes every shelf slightly different in a way regulars learn to read. The fixed frame keeps the shelf coherent; the hand keeps it alive.

One production plate, no obsolete stock when an origin rotates out, and the bags photograph so well the roaster stopped commissioning product shots.
