Acceptable Use Policy

What may not be published or done on Ransack sites.

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This policy applies to everything published or transmitted through Ransack, including content created by automated tools and agents operating on your behalf. It is part of the Terms of Service.

Prohibited content and behavior

Do not use Ransack to publish, host, link-farm, or distribute:

  • Illegal content of any kind, under the laws that apply to you or to us.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance. We report identified material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
  • Harassment, threats, or incitement targeting any person or group.
  • Malware, phishing, or deception — including sites that impersonate other people, organizations, or services, and any use of Ransack subdomains to mislead visitors about who operates a site.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property you do not own or have rights to publish.
  • Spam — bulk low-value sites, link schemes, or content designed to manipulate search ranking rather than inform people.
  • Doxxing — publishing private personal information about others without their consent.

Do not probe, overload, or abuse the platform's infrastructure, other tenants' sites, or the link-ingestion fetcher.

Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend sites (taking them offline while preserving the owner's data), or terminate organizations, at our discretion, escalating with severity and repetition. Where the law requires reporting — such as CSAM — we report.

Reporting

See Reporting Abuse to report a violation.
